M3 Plays Torta Hills!

November 6th, 2015 by

If you’re looking for a class in level design, look no further than bunny’s Super Mario Maker World.  Watch as the M3 team plays through the second zone from that theoretical game, Torta Hills!  A few of the levels from that zone are also linked individually in the museum.

*Site Update*

November 4th, 2015 by

Level additions have resumed at full speed.  You may notice a few changes to the site.  Most notably, the front page is now a fully random selection of levels from all of the Mario Maker Museum levels.  However, each of the sub-categories is still listed chronologically in the order the levels have been played and processed.

And, if you didn’t see it, watch the M3 team play through Buzzy Basin, a veritable *clinic* on how to design good levels that aren’t overly difficult.

Behind the Scenes Editing

November 1st, 2015 by

We are doing some ‘behind the scenes’ editing of the site and so level sharing will be slow between now and Wednesday, 11/4.  Conveniently, that’s the day that the Checkpoint system goes into place.  Remember: If you redo your level with a checkpoint, drop us a line on the forums and/or resubmit the level so we can update the code!

Thanks for helping us make this a fun Super Mario Maker Community!

An Adventure in Buzzy Basin!

October 30th, 2015 by

Super Mario Maker user ‘bunny’ has created an entire game (Super Mario Maker World).  Watch as the Mario Maker Museum team plays through the first set of levels, called Buzzy Basin.  They aren’t hard, but they’re fun (!) and a great introduction to SMW mechanics.

Mario Maker Museum Takes on Some Challenges!

October 26th, 2015 by

The third episode of the Mario Maker Museum show is live, always playing YOUR levels!  This week we take on two challenging levels: Kamek’s Castle and Temple of the Elements.

If you enjoy watching, make sure to play through these levels, and share the show and site with your friends!
